Schneider Electric Shares Insights on Data Centre Solution with its CustomersKey Schneider Electric MENA customers receive glimpses of latest data center technologies and solutions at a three-day event seminar
Cairo, Egypt: 29 May 2016 – Schneider Electric, a global Specialist in energy management and automation, welcomed customers and industry experts to its three-day exhibition in Cairo. The Exhibition was held on 29-31 May 2016 during which Schneider Electric shared its latest technologies and IT cooling solutions, as well as its vision for a data center in the future.
“The current geopolitical scenario and economic reforms in Middle East and North Africa are driving governments and corporates to seek energy efficiency solutions,” said Moniem El Fakharany, IT Business Vice President, North East & West Africa. “Stemming from its leading position in the field of data centers in the Egyptian market; Schneider Electric is keen to offer a comprehensive range of energy efficiency solutions, enabling data centers to operate without interruption under the most extreme operating conditions and even in case of power outage. IT cooling solutions should be embedded into technology and optimized for smarter businesses and infrastructure. To this end, we are pleased to welcome our loyal customers from the MENA region to our exhibition.”
The global data center cooling market is anticipated to grow from US$6.26 billion in 2015 to US$11.85 billion by 2020, according to a study by US-based market intelligence and research firm Research and Markets. This is a direct result of the surging demand for data centers due to the widespread uptake of cloud computing and virtualization.
The three-day event included the latest key insights of technology experts from across the MENA region. Schneider Electric showcased its latest products and solutions in this sector including; Data Center Planning, Design, Build and Services, as well as wide range of products such as the Galaxy 300 New Range (60-80KVA), Galaxy VM 160-200KVA, Aquaflair Chillers, In-Row Cooling Next generation, Uniflair LE In Room Cooling, as well as the latest release of the Gutor PXC, a standardized, fully industrial uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for harsh environments.
Gutor PXC is ideal for rugged and outdoor settings such as oil and gas exploration and production sites, marine and offshore environments and climates with extreme temperatures. The Gutor PXC protects critical equipment and industrial applications from damage due to power outages, surges, and spikes while providing short term battery power during an outage. Due to the solution’s standardized and flexible design, users including facility managers, engineers and contractors now have the ability to deploy a reliable and turnkey solution in a dramatically shorter time frame and at a lower cost.
In 2010, Uniflair was acquired and integrated into Schneider Electric. The combination of Schneider Electric's APC and Uniflair cooling products has created a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for virtually any cooling requirements in critical IT environments.
