Schneider Electric’s Zone President Africa & Caribbean meets the Egyptian Prime Minister
We are pleased to announce that our Zone President Africa and Caribbean, Mohamed Saad as well as Sherif Abdel Fattah, our Vice President Solar & Governmental Affairs had the chance to meet HE. Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab - Prime Minister of Egypt and HE. Dr. Mohamed Shaker - Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy. During the meeting, Schneider Electric demonstrated its efforts and contribution to the contingency plan, which aims to add 3600MW to the National Electricity Grid before this summer. Schneider Electric will also contribute to two key power plants in Assuit and West Damietta to generate 1500MW. The scope of work is supplying L/V and M/V panels end of May 2015.
Our representatives expressed its intend of Schneider Electric to inject more investments in the Egyptian market, while contributing to a number of projects to support the national electricity grid, along with the full support to the renewable energy sector through sustainable and state of the art solutions.
Schneider Electric was honored by the meeting and was given the chance to showcase the future plans it intends to execute to contribute to the developmental plans of the Egyptian government.
