How to activate Vista Licenses ?

When the purchase order has been processed, the entitlement certificate is received by e-mail.
To activate a license, you must log on to the licensing customer portal using the entitlement ID given in the subject line of the e-mail. You can also log on to the licensing customer portal using the individual activation IDs given in the body section of the e-mail. However, logging on using the entitlement ID offers you more possibilities and better overview of the licenses.
To log on to the licensing customer portal
1 In the address field of your web browser, type .licensing.tac.com..
2 In the Entitlement Id box, type the entitlement ID given in the subject line of the e-mail
3 Click Login.
The start page of the licensing customer portal appears.
4 On the portal toolbar, click Manage Entitlements. A list of available entitlements is presented.
Enclosed with the e-mail there is an HTML file containing a list of all entitlements that were purchased for that specific order. The table on the Manage Entitlements page, however, displays all entitlements that you have access to. If this was your first purchase order, the table will be identical to the information on the HTML file. In other cases the table will probably contain more entitlements than are specified in the HTML file.
To activate an entitlement
1 On the Manage Entitlements page, select the entitlement you want to activate.
2 Click Activate.
3 Fill out the form on the page and click Next.
4 Fill out the form on the page and click Next. For more information on how to acquire the host id. See Section “Acquiring a Host Id”
5 Fill out the form on the page. In the Count field specify the number of licenses you would like to activate. If you have ordered multiple copies, you do not have to activate all at once. Click Generate.
6 Either save the license details to file (click Save To File) or send them by e-mail (click Email).
7 When finished, click Complete. This will bring you back to the Manage Entitlements page.
