Ask a Question

Is the Line contactor available as standard in Low harmonic drives ATV61EXC5C63N4H?

The Line contactor is built-in as a standard in ATV61EXC5C63N4H.

A Low Harmonic drive (=AFE) always needs a line contactor. The standard drive has a charging circuit based on the thyristors of the input rectifier. The AFE has an input bridge with IGBTs and free-whell diodes. Therefore the charging of the DC bus capacitors is done with a pre-charging contactor and resistors. After the charging sequence this resistors must be bypassed with a line contactor.

Therefore the line contactor is an option for ATV61EXC5C63N4 but it is built-in as a standard in ATV61EXC5C63N4H
