The 4 pillars of manufacturing maintenance

1 Highly qualified personnel

> In-depth knowledge of equipment (functional level, technical level, life cycle…)
> Knowledge of the technologies used (patented design principles: breaking, rotating arc etc.)
> In-depth knowledge of equipment integration into its global environment (understanding of electrical phenomena, networks etc.)
> Highly aware of safety (concerning their own safety, that of other people involved, the equipment, first aider certificate).
> A minimum of 2 to 3 weeks of training per year for those carrying out the work.

Advantages
-Work carried out adapted to the equipment's condition and use
-Work carried out with full knowledge of the environment
-Comprehensive recommendations for maintained equipment
-One of the lowest figures for frequency accidents requiring leave.

2 Adapted maintenance procedures and methods

> Maintenance operations on an installed base in accordance with a detailed procedure (planning, prevention plan, readings of installed base, making safe, carrying out of work, report, recommendations etc.)
> All Schneider Electric equipment has a detailed "manufacturer's maintenance” method file upon which all work is based.  (From making safe to checking equipment performance)
> Feedback on our equipment in its operating environment enables us to improve these methods and procedures (particularly through actions relating to diagnostic work and conditional maintenance).

Advantages
- Assurance of quality work in line with the designers' specifications
-Respect of standards specifying the types of maintenance (preventive, systematic, conditional)
-Systematic documentation of work carried out for a possible continual analysis
-Guaranteed repetitiveness of maintenance work.

3 Specific diagnosis tools and consumables

> Diagnosis tools supported by expert softwares (Test suitcases, ProDiag, ProCorona, ProFusion, ProSelect...)
> Specific equipment related tools (measurement of surplus power, blocking of commands, etc.), developed by the designers.
> Work management tools (IBSuite, Zen …)
> Grease and solvents adapted to the designers' specifications.

 Advantages
-Accurate qualification of conditional maintenance in line with manufacturer's original specifications, allowing behavior over time to be monitored.
-checking of equipment performance following tasks performed.

4 Access to manufacturer specific parts

> Ability for part identification
> Supply of original manufacturer guaranteed parts

Advantages

  • Maintenance and brining up to date, repairs etc.
  • Guaranteeing operational conditions are maintained or recovered
