Egypt's Communications Minister discusses cooperation to build City of Knowledge with Schneider Electric head

Egypt's Minister of Communications Yasser Al-Qadi has held talks with Schneider Electric MEA President Caspar Herzberg to discuss cooperation in the Knowledge City the Egyptian government is planning to set up in a new capital city east of Cairo.
The 312-acre city in the New Administrative Capital is planned to host research, innovation and entrepreneurship centers focusing on advanced digital technologies of the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, embedded systems and electronic design, Minister Al-Qadi said.
It will be a smart city that optimizes the use of technology in the design and operation of infrastructure and buildings, he added.
Schneider, a specialist in energy management and automation, will provide technology-enabled solutions and offer technical expertise to enhance the skills of Egyptian employees, according to Herzberg.
