Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa Grants Engineering Syndicate an Integrated Lab for Electrical Engineering and Smart Building Control Training

- Schneider Electric Egypt inaugurated the integrated engineering lab at the Engineering Syndicate

- In its efforts to support innovational development and offer the latest training resources to equip Egyptian specialized calibers in energy management and control, Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa inaugurated the latest integrated lab specialized in energy engineering and automation. The lab was established in the Engineering Syndicate to help train young Egyptian engineers and teach them about the latest innovations and applications in the world of electrical engineering, energy automation and smart building control.
The inauguration witnessed the presence of all of: “Eng. Walid Sheta, Regional Cluster Head at Schneider Electric North East Africa and Levant; Eng. Tarek Al-Nabrawy, Head of the Engineers Syndicate; and Eng. Hany Shaltout, Director of Solutions Development and Customer Training at Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa. The inauguration of the new integrated Schneider Electric lab comes in lieu of the global company’s commitment to actively participating in boosting the Egyptian economy, spreading knowledge about the latest in energy management and automation systems and providing a set of the world’s most optimal solutions for electrical safety and usage. The company’s efforts perfectly align with the nation’s true ambition to create a national economic advancement enabled by energy automation.
Eng. Walid Sheta, Regional Cluster Head at Schneider Electric North East Africa and Levant, stated during the inauguration that, “we are driven by a powerful dedication towards the Egyptian community and training the young calibers into becoming intelligent professionals ready for the difficult job market. At our very core we believe that offering full-fledged training opportunities for engineering students will yield a genuine increase in the level of performance and project execution in Egypt. Schneider Electric is very keen to cooperate with the Engineers Syndicate and supply them with the most advanced engineering training labs, especially in light of Egypt’s current accession into a new realm of growth after announcing a large number of giant development and engineering projects that will place Egypt perfectly on its track for success.”
The inauguration also comes in subsequence to the MOU Schneider Electric Egypt and the Engineers Syndicate signed last year that will empower the syndicate to hold a series of training sessions for the syndicate’s engineers. In this MOU, Schneider Electric agreed to sustain the syndicate with equipment for electrical training sessions and experiments for energy automation, protect individuals, networks, automatic operation and smart building control. In addition to holding rotational seminars to exhibit the latest technologies and systems.
Commenting on the above, Eng. Hany Shaltout, Director of Solutions Development and Customer Training at Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa, asserted that, “the electrical engineering and automation labor market is witnessing what we call “disruptive innovation” and it can be translated to a confusing innovative revolution as a result of the introduction of IoT and intelligence combined with all the new systems that now dictate what electrical and automation engineers know about the latest applications and smart systems. This new wave of innovative technology controls the current means of controlling electricity networks and renewable energy systems, which is why advanced programs and engineering labs require expensive costs and absurd efforts to establish. And so, this lab is our company’s active contribution, in collaboration with the Engineering Syndicate and local institutions and organizations, to support the rising Egyptian engineer.”
Schneider Electric offers a lot of academic programs and labs equipped with the latest technology for Engineering schools, technical institutes and the Engineering Syndicate, which help evolve the skills and talents of engineers, technicians and specialists in Egypt. In the past, the company has cooperated with the Engineering Schools in Ain Shams University and Helwan University in training their students on how to operate energy automation systems, while inaugurating labs for the two universities as well as prepare “Don Bosco” Institute students and the Technical Galal Fahmy school students for understanding the latest solutions.
